Reviewing 2022 And Making Room For 2023

Before you greet 2023, I would like you to take some time to self-reflect and review what you have been through and to get all the yummy nutrients you got from our experience.

So, here are some questions to journal about:

  1. What did you create or build in 2022?

  2. When did you show up in a way that aligned fully with your values?

  3. Who or what kept you motivated in 2022?

  4. What were some highlights of the year for you?

  5. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced?

  6. What are you no longer available for? / What are you leaving behind?

  7. And finally, what are you taking with you from 2022 to 2023?

Here are three things I am taking with me.

Building my trust muscles

Cultivating the capacity to trust myself despite the external sources of “should” has been a muscle that I want to keep tending to in 2023. Checking in with my internal voice instead of outsourcing my authority to family, friends, teachers, mentors, coaches, or Google has connected me with myself and my inner compass. If you would like to learn more about trusting your intuition, check out my article or join one of my courses on in-depth psychology, where we explore ways of tapping into your intuition through myths and stories.

Actively participating in my life

Even though relaxing days are something I enjoy, what I learned is that if I remain conscious of the way I choose to spend my days, then I feel a sense of pride, fulfillment, and intentionality about my day. Applying discernment, discipline, and devotion has allowed me to focus and make my projects come to life. There were numerous times this year where I would say “no” to an invitation and instead work on my projects so as to express my “creativity” through my courses and programs. I learned that when all of me is 100% engaged in life, I am more awake, present, and capable of anything.

Connecting with my non-rational ways of knowing

This year, I understood that if rational thinking alone were the answer to our suffering, we all would have figured it out a long time ago. Accessing the deeper knowing through myths, images, dreams, body sensations, and an inner voice provides different kinds of solutions and perspectives that very often bring much more richness than anything our intellect can offer. The way I connect the most to this unconscious part of my psyche is through stories and myths. Having experienced the powerful shifts in my own psyche, I designed a course based on in-depth psychology that will also help you get in touch with that part of you that is calm, fearless, and wise beyond anything intellect can offer. Scan the QR code for details if you’re interested in joining, as we are starting in January.

I wonder what are you taking with you in 2023, and what are you leaving behind.

Now that you’ve reflected on 2022, it’s time to create a vision board for 2023. If you would like to do it together, we will have an in-person Vision Board Retreat on January 15. You can DM me for details (WeChat: izabella_m). We had one on December 18, and our participants loved the experience, so come and give yourself a day of breathing room.

Also, perhaps in 2023, your wish is to become a master of boundaries. If that’s the case, join Jela and me on our very popular Boundaries course.

All right, my readers, take good care. Rest during this last week of December, and make some time for these questions so you can grow through what you went through this year.

With love,

Iza
